Tackling Peanut Allergy
The world becomes a very dangerous place to live, once somebody knows his son has developed peanut allergy. To develop the child with joy and confidence inspite of his lethal allergy is the most challenging issue. One is under constant stress, to grow with constant restrictions of food items. For the child, he grows with constant fear and anxiety. It is imperative to help the child to live & enjoy.
With so much of restrictions over food it becomes difficult for the child to live a normal life.
A child with peanut allergy often is lonely and rarely has a friend excluded by other children who sometimes even behave cruelly to him.
Of course, some other children may react differently. Involve them more so that they react favorably.
It may be a different proposition as far as their parents is concerned who will not like to see their ward mixing with a child suffering from peanut allergy.
But, one cannot also blame anybody for their reactions in such situation nor can stop bothering about the poor child’s mental state for such exclusion.
The real solution lies rather exclusively with the parents of an allergic child. They have to be more involved in all matters concerning their child. They may have to talk one to one to all the parents of the children and also with children and motivate them to find a solution to each problem and involve the teachers in all such endeavors.
The suffering child also must be made to understand that in all walks of life everybody will not react favorably and one should try to live with such failures. Just like games you play, you lose one to gain another. But, you must find joy in both, may be more in one and less in the other.
